Resource Conservation and Development (RC&D) is a program that helps people initiate, sponsor, plan and implement projects that will enhance their communities. The Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) administers the program for the U.S. Department of Agriculture. Visit the Georgia NRCS RC&D program site to learn more.

Limestone Valley RC&D Council is a not for profit tax-exempt 501 (c)(3) corporation in the state of Georgia. Sponsorship is received from the commissions of the 11 northwest counties pictured on the left; and four Soil & Water Conservation Districts (Limestone Valley S&WCD, Blue Ridge Mountain S&WCD, Catoosa County S&WCD, Coosa River S&WCD).

A 32-member Council made up of representatives from all of the above sponsors and direct the organization's operations. The Council's programs are targeted toward improving natural and human resources concerns, and preserving the natural and cultural resources of the 11-county area.

These are a few of the organizations we routinely work with: Rolling Hills RC &D, Two Rivers RC&D, Golden Triangle RC&D, Oconee River RC&D, Georgia Soil & Water Commission, US Forest Service, Environmental Protection Agency, USDA/NRCS and the Batlefield Farmers Market in Walker County.
